John is a general manager with one of the UK’s largest private hospital groups. When we met he said that he wanted to change his career path so he could eventually achieve his life time ambition of being self employed as a Health Business Consultant.
However he believed that his next move would be as an employed person working in the public or private sector end of the Health Service.
Outcomes
* We carried out an in-depth analysis of his existing skills, competencies and experience to assess where his natural strengths stood prior to his next career move
* Although he was actively being head hunted and/or interviewed we agreed that his analysis had excluded a possible promotion with his current employers
* Coaching John through the potential job change situation made him realise that he had the potential to be promoted within his own Hospital Group
* As we worked together on establishing John’s strengths, his self awareness grew and so did the new job opportunities within his Hospital Group
* Within 9 months of starting the coaching programme, he had been offered a substantial promotion within his own Hospital Group
