Confident Coaching

Posted in

Coaching is all about creating a relationship for positive change.

The aim of Confident Coaching is to empower people to realise their full potential. This can be to enhance their performance at work, to improve team working or management skills, to give people the confidence to meet new challenges or to take their life in a new direction altogether.

There is no limit to what can be achieved through coaching. It can help bridge geographic, cultural or demographic boundaries.

Increased self awareness is the key to making these changes, and the relationship with a good coach can often be the catalyst to make this happen. Sometimes all it takes, is someone to act as a sounding board; at others, the role of a coach in helping an individual explore their options, create a plan of action - and holding them to it - can be the essential factors that make the difference.

The coaching process involves the following steps:

* Establishing where a person is now
* Defining, and agreeing, where he/she wants to be
* Exploring motivation, values and beliefs
* Creating opportunities to reach one’s potential (how will he/she get there)
* Agreeing further development and learning
* Setting goals and creating an action plan
* Reviewing

And, as with all Confident Club coaching, self-belief, combined with practical strategies, are the keys to our approach.

Executive Coaching

This programme uses a series of individual one-to-one sessions tailored to the specific needs and outcomes of the client.

It is designed to help a person to understand and prioritise what is important to them about their business or career, how to be self-motivated, how to achieve goals that are currently eluding them and to increase their performance dramatically.

Executive Coaching can be useful in a number of situations including:

* Increasing operational performance
* Dealing with a change in role
* Skills development
* To implement change
* To enhance career development

Life Coaching

This programme uses a series of individual one-to-one sessions tailored to the specific needs and outcomes of the client. It looks at a persons whole-life balance including health, wealth, career and relationships. It examines how to focus on what they want rather than what they don’t want and how to think about themselves and their life in a new way. Ultimately, it helps them to understand and prioritise what is important to them.

Life/work coaching can be useful in a number of situations including:

* When people have too much stress and conflict in their lives
* When they feel they are caught up in just “doing it”
* Suffering from a lack of focus
* When they know what they don’t want but can’t decide on what they do want instead
* When their health is suffering
* When they feel "out of control/trapped" or just out of balance

Team Coaching

The difference with team coaching is that the team is the client, not an individual.
Firstly, there is a preliminary meeting with the whole team, followed by team and individual assessments. This is then followed by a workshop to explore team working with any follow up activity being agreed by the team, such as a follow up workshop and /or individual coaching.

This is not an isolated activity as the team creates its own agenda.The team needs to:

* Assess team strengths and weaknesses
* Agree key issues
* Agree how to measure success
* Take responsibility, from the outset, for the outcomes

There is on going support which leads to sustainability. The coaches will draw up an outline programme in consultation with the team. The learning process is shared, not directed, with the coach adding an extra dimension by creating and analysing feedback and focusing on performance.

Team coaching can be useful in a number of situations including:

* Becoming an operational, high performance team
* Developing a new project team
* Skills development
* Implementing/adapting to change
