What will propel you to the top of your profession, yet 42% of adults fear it more than death?

Here is some information that may surprise you. It’s been proved that the number one attribute that will lead you to the top of any profession, according to research by the Harvard Business School, is the ability to speak passionately, persuasively, powerfully and professionally, especially in public. Without doubt those rare individuals who can communicate with impact and win others over to their ideas, and way of thinking, are the ones who will enjoy the best careers, rewards and relationships. If you stop and think about it, who couldn’t benefit from improving their skills at positively influencing clients, customers, prospects, colleagues, family and friends?

Yet, ironically, being asked to speak in public, based on our own independent research, is the number one thing people fear the most (even beating the fear of dying into third place). This means most people, perhaps including you, would rather die than speak in public. Of course it is embarrassing for all concerned, when someone manages to do both at the same time!

To be a master you need to learn from a master

What if you could learn how to overcome fear and ‘wow’ your audience directly from someone who is not just a teacher but a doer? What if you could spend two solid days with, and being coached by, one of Europe’s top professional speakers? Someone who both commands the attention of an audience and captures its imagination. Someone who, full time, speaks for a living. Someone who knows all about how to build massive self confidence. What would that do for the standard of your future talks and presentations?

That’s why you should join us for the Presentation Mastery Workshop with our international speaker Steve McDermott. Steve is a three times winner of the prestigious ‘European Motivational Speaker of the Year’ award.

So just imagine what secrets you can learn from him, over two full days, which you simply couldn’t learn from anyone else. The Magic Circle forbids magicians from telling non magicians how they do their tricks. But in this workshop Steve promises to reveal everything he has learned in 18 years as top flight professional speaker. From Blackpool to Berlin, Steve has spoken to audiences of ten to several thousand people and for clients as diverse as the BBC to the Driving Standards Agency. He is very experienced at dealing with every type of audience and all types of challenges. From what to do if you have to speak with just a few minutes notice to winning over a negative audience. What makes Steve special is not just his ability as a speaker but also as a coach. He will not only show you how to do what he does but also coach you to be able to consistently do the same. Here is what a previous delegate had to say about his workshops:

“This week I’ve been on the most incredible workshop ever! Everyone who was at the AVN Conference in February will remember the keynote speaker, Steve McDermott and how powerful his presentation was.Well, I’ve been on his ‘presentation mastery’ workshop and it was the best, most entertaining, most informative course I’ve EVER been on. There wasn’t a single part of it that I couldn’t immediately go out and use. It lasted two days but seemed like two hours! The time just flew by. Anyone who has to make any sort of presentation either to individuals, small groups, large groups or even crowds will get loads from Steve’s workshop. This course is the real deal and caters for all abilities, so don’t worry about looking stupid. You won’t. I know. I’ve been. I’ve been given the opportunity to pitch for a job I’ve been
chasing for two years. They want us to do a presentation. Am I up for it??? Dead right I am!!!”
Mark Upex
Senior Partner, Hansons

Why you should invest two days of your time learning, amongst many other things,
the alternative to death by PowerPoint

Still boring people to death with PowerPoint? Maybe you’re honest enough to admit that your presentation skills leave a lot to be desired but so far you’ve managed to get by. Or maybe you’re not as confident as you appear. Perhaps you’ve known for years that this is something you need to improve but just haven’t found the time. Or maybe you are a seasoned presenter, who has had some presentation skills training and can’t yet see why this would be a fantastic return on your investment. Maybe some previous delegates can convince you:

“With over 20 years’ experience as an actor, MC and keynote speaker, you might think there would be nothing I could learn about corporate presentation. However, Steve McDermott’s workshop was an outstanding learning experience and has given me the confidence to perform in front of any size audience without notes or PowerPoint. Top class.”
Mike Southon
FT Columnist & Co-author, ‘The Beermat Entrepreneur’

“It is the best 2 days training I have ever had. It is not just about formal presentations it is also relevant on a day-to-day basis.”
Alex Williams
Director of Borough partnerships, Transport for London

The Presentation Mastery Workshop has been developed over the last 17 years with input and feedback from not just hundreds of delegates but also two other full time professional speakers and an Olympic Silver medallist. They have provided unique insights into presenting and maintaining performance under pressure. You will find the training fun and invigorating with tried and tested strategies to help fast track your presentations and a guaranteed return on your investment. For example imagine if your audience was the government and you had to persuade the Queen to open your event:

“I presented to the Government of Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur which resulted in a £250,000 promotional campaign launched by the King and Queen of Malaysia last week at Harrods. The skills learned on the workshop gave me the confidence and creativity to plan, practise and ultimately deliver a powerful argument as to why Harrods should be the platform for this investment.”
Guy Cheston
Director of Advertising Sales & Sponsorship Harrods Limited

It was over a year between Guy attending the workshop and him giving that presentation. Proof of a lasting return on the two days he spent with us. This is because our approach is that belief should always come before skills. We concentrate on developing our delegate’s level of self-belief and confidence (even if you already have a lot of confidence you’ll go away with even more). We help them to adopt a new set of empowering beliefs about the challenge of standing before an audience. In fact many people say this is much more than a workshop but a genuine life changing experience.

Now, what if you were to attend the Presentation Mastery Workshop? What if afterwards, you felt a new level of confidence you can only dream of. What if next time you gave a presentation you knew what you were saying was being well received and was influencing your audience to buy into your ideas or take the action you recommend. What if, whether you are a novice or a seasoned presenter, you were to take your own presentation skills to the next amazing level?

Uniquely not only do we give you up-front coaching before the start of the workshop to ensure the time you spend with us is 100% effective but also as a graduate of the workshop, you can contact us for advice, support, and feedback, on any future presentations you are involved in for the rest of your working life. How’s that for value.

Need even more convincing? Here’s what one of our delegates said about what they got from the workshop that they didn’t expect:

“Instant results, a feeling that I was part of a micro team (we were all rooting for each other), twelve months on the effects haven’t worn off – I did three big presentations in the last couple of weeks I was super-cool and everyone loved the presentations. Unlike a lot of courses which have a short term benefit, this has had a long slow burn, with a change of attitude and perception of my abilities on my part rather than simply some new techniques.”
Janette King
Director of Marketing and Communications Europe HSBC Private Bank

Janette’s right about the other delegates. You will be working alongside other people who will share their experiences and challenges to help you improve. Imagine what results you would enjoy if you spent two quality days away working on what the Harvard Business School has identified as the number one attribute that all successful people need.

By now you may be wondering what all this costs and what types of people will be attending this workshop. Your investment is £1,750 plus VAT. That’s why it’s only for those who are serious about developing the sought after skill of speaking with power, influence and persuasion. In the past we have helped everyone from chief executives and managing directors to trainers, sales people, students even professional speakers become more powerful communicators. It doesn’t matter whether you’ve had limited experience in giving presentations or are well versed in the skills needed because we guarantee you will improved dramatically (or your money back). And of course one of the most attractive things about this workshop is the opportunity to grow in a controlled, safe and fun environment, well away from the office.

Not only don’t you get a second chance to make a first impression but you also might not get a second chance to attend this exclusive and exciting workshop

Because of his heavy speaking, broadcasting and writing schedules, Steve is only able to deliver a limited number of workshops with only three taking place in London at 38 Bartholomew Close, London EC1A 7HN (between St Pauls and Barbican). And remember, to ensure the best possible results, places on are strictly limited to a maximum of eight delegates. We expect demand to be high, so please call and reserve your place today. Or, to avoid missing out, simply return the enclosed registration form now. Then you can look forward to soon being one of those very few people who, brimming with confidence, can ‘wow’ the audience every time you get up to speak.

PS: When we asked Mark Booker, Strategy Manager, North West Development Agency, why you should book a place today he said:

“This is probably the best training I have ever done and it has made a difference to me in tackling a critical personal development challenge. The training was very practical and Steve and Curly gave honest feedback and advice which helped me up my game. It was expensive but I have been on two previous presentation courses at half the price which were rubbish.”

How is the Presentation Mastery Workshop structured?

Presentation Mastery will run over two full days from 9.00am until approximately 5.30pm on each day. There is also an assignment to complete on the evening of day one.
We will send you a brief two weeks before the workshop begins. This will outline the content and the detailed work that you must undertake before attending. We will also send you a pre-course questionnaire. One of our Confident Club coaches will contact you before the workshop to discuss your specific requirements, so that we can tailor the workshop to meet your needs and answer any questions you have.

You would then need to spend some time over the two weeks before the workshop, preparing your three presentations. At the workshop each delegate has their presentations filmed for personal review purposes. During the workshop you can also expect some additional surprises that are designed to take your presentation skills to the mastery level. After the workshop you receive your final DVD, which contains all your presentations, and we ensure you have a plan to continue developing your skills. Plus as a graduate of the workshop you can contact us for advice, and feedback, on any future presentations you are involved in and become a member of The Confident Club with access to the members only page of our website and an invitation to join us at our annual conference.

Research proves that one of the most valued skills in life and business is the ability to communicate with impact. The fee for this workshop is £1,750 plus VAT per delegate (this includes refreshments and lunch but excludes any overnight accommodation). We believe that, amongst other things, this workshop delivers exceptional value due to the high level of personal coaching each delegate receives.
